Harpaboo is an educational game, not medical advice
Harpaboo helps children ages 2–12 build food-allergy awareness through play. It teaches one habit above all: when you're not sure, check with an adult. It is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, or source of medical advice, and it must never be used to decide whether a real food is safe for a real child.
Accuracy limits you should know about
- The app's food and allergen information is general and educational. Real foods vary by brand, recipe, preparation, and cross-contact. A food the game treats as "safe" may not be safe for your child in real life.
- Allergen selections and food safety overrides are set by parents and only affect gameplay. They are not a medical record.
- The game intentionally simplifies: its answer for uncertain foods is always "ask an adult," not a safety determination.
Always rely on professionals
Decisions about your child's allergies — diagnosis, treatment, emergency planning, and which foods are safe — belong with your child's physician or allergist. Follow the medical plan they give you.
Emergencies
The app has no emergency features. If a child may be having an allergic reaction, follow your doctor's emergency plan and contact your local emergency services immediately.
